Non Corrosive Geothermal Pumps
What are geothermal pumps?
A heat pump is a device which uses to transfer the heat form one source to another. The heat is transferred form the higher source of heat to the lower source of heat. As the name geothermal suggests it means exchanging the resources with the nature. The sources used are solar energy, wind and most of the non-conventional resources.
Geothermal heats pumps are very flexible and very easy to use. Following are some of the major types of geothermal pumps
1) Vertical closed loop: - The basic purpose of the vertical closed loop is to extract the heat from the Earth and then reject back. They are installed by drilling holes hundreds of feet into the surface of the Earth. After that a non-corrosive plastic polythene pipe is inserted in the holes. The pipes used are of excellent quality and material is long lasting as well as corrosive.
2) Horizontal Closed loop: - Horizontal Closed loops extract the Earths heat and return it back to some other sources. The horizontal loops are installed in the trenches approximately 5 feet below the surface of the ground. There is always a fluctuation of the ground temperatures but the pipes used are never damaged. The pipes used are non-corrosive and have quite a good life.
3) Lake Loop: - it is a type of geothermal loop that is directly installed in the source of water like a lake or a any other body of water. The pipes used have a good durability and last for years. The pipes used are non-corrosive and sturdy.
4) Open loop: - they open loop are one of the most efficient and very economical type of geothermal pipes. They are used in large scales in nearly all the parts of the world. The temperatures are constantly changing so the pipes which are used are of very good quality. The pipes used for the necessary connections are very long lasting and non-corrosive.
In almost all of the types of the geothermal pipes are used. These pipes not only last long but they also are non-corrosive, hence they are very convenient.
