Hiring Of Geothermal Pumps
A geothermal heat pump system is a heating or an AC system which uses the Earth's capacity to store heat in the ground and water masses. This system employs a land mass as a heat exchanger either to heat or to cool a building.
Though hiring and installing a geothermal pump is not very complicated, there are number of important decisions to make, like system design and size and it is essential to find out what suits best for that particular location.
1) You have to make sure that the professionals who follow the procedures by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) set up your system. You can call the contractors or if the phone numbers are not available in your phone directory, you can browse through the websites.
2) Installers should be certified by IGSHPA or should show corresponding training from Geoexchange manufacturers or other approved authorities at renowned institutions.
3) You should inquire other houses where the contractor has mounted the systems. You can call their installers also. You can compare both contractors to choose the best.
4) A good contractor should check your home to give the best suggestion to you. The insulation, ducts and other features should be checked for efficiency.
5) You should ask the contractor about his/her experience. You can ask anything you would like. You should also ask that whether the contractor has installed the system in his/her home or workplace.
6) You can talk with number of contractors and get cost estimation in written. You can inquire the breakdown between equipment and labor costs.
7) You should not buy a system which has no warranty. The warranty should include all conditions, costs and important dates.
After selecting a contractor, ask them to make a contract based on their proposal. Read the contract cautiously and do not sign an incomplete contract. Make sure that all of the items covered in the proposal are included in the contract. Verify all terms and conditions. Without a contract, you have very little possibility of resolving clashes if the work is of deprived quality or incomplete.
